Meet The Wonderful Poet, Silvy Augimeri, ‘i.sola’.
Silvy, Italian poet, originally from Sicily, but has lived outside the country for nearly 10 years. Silvy is a Londoner at heart, hence using the English language in her writing - currently based in Germany - Berlin. Without this experience here in this country, she could never have come close to poetry.
Call herself I.sola - the duality of this name embrace the two languages she is connected to most. In Italian Isola stands for island. She writes as poetry calls and this is a healing process that has started naturally only two years ago. The meeting and interest with poetry has come to her in a very sudden and unexpected way, in a moment of self detachment, found peace just by writing. What she writes about has all really happened and through it the aim is to make these experiences a vivid memory so that other women can know they are not alone. She wants to be mouthpiece to guide and inspire other women to accept their traumas, and help them understand that those moments made them unique. She has several ideas and dreams of making a brand around the “i.sola” concept that includes different ways of expressing art such as jewellery, pottery, painting.
